Griffin iTalk : Talk, Talk,Talk
As a writer, I'm always taking notes. Sometimes it's just a lot easier to speak them into my iPod than to scramble for a pen and paper. With Griffin's iTalk, I can turn my iPod into a digital voice recorder in seconds. I can save my voice files, and play them back later, using the iTalk as a mini speaker. Or I can download the files to my PowerBook for playback. Either way, I get a clear recording. Conducting interviews over the phone is no trouble because I can simply plug in my telephone mic into my iTalk. With Griffin's iTalk I no longer need to carry my iPod and a micro cassette recorder. I'm all over anything that lightens the load of my laptop bag. I like that the iTalk is so simple to use - just plug it into the audio jack - and tiny enough to fit into any pocket, purse, or pouch. Griffin suggests using iTalk listen to audio books or music w/o headphones, record lectures, and even recording arguments ("to play back later to prove you were right"). Whether you use it for work, play, or domestic disputes, it's a handy accessory to have for writers, students, and anyone who needs to make voice memos or record events. Bottom Line: This little recorder also adds a very useful feature to my iPod -- I can set the iPod's alarm to wake me up to my favorite song. It doesn't get any better than that. --E.D.
