Terramar Thermasilk 100% Pure Silk Baselayer Bottom : Natural Comfort and Warmth

Wow. I never knew I could feel so pampered in the backcountry! Terramar's Thermasilk 100% Silk baeslayer pant is as luxuriously soft as it is functional.

This attractive tight-style pant has a very feminine appearance, with jacquard patterned silk material and a sleek fit.

I wore my Terramar Thermasilk bottoms snowshoeing on a beautiful, "blue bird" day in the Colorado Rockies. The sun was shining, the air was still, and it was about 25 degrees. I was happy to notice that these pants did a great job of wicking away moisture as I got further along the trail. I also liked the feel of the soft silk against my skin--no chafing!

I think this pant is best for temps above 30 degrees for standing around in the cold, and just right for a variety of more active pursuits in lower (i.e., 20 degree) temps. I wore my Thermasilk bottoms while fly-fishing, and my legs were cold by the end of the day. But I had excepted as much since I usually wear a thicker baselayer pant when fishing.

I also took my Terramar Thermasilk bottoms with me on a trip to Maine. They are thin enough to easily fit under a pair of jeans and small enough to be packed in a carry-on bag as an afterthought. I was glad I remembered to pack them because the temps were around freezing and there was a biting wind. I wore my Thermasilk bottoms under my jeans and also as tights under a skirt. I love that they look good enough to be worn out in public as well as under pants.
